West Bengal HSE 2014. Higher Secondary Exams 2014 On Duty Orders for Teachers.
On Duty orders for Head Examiner, Practical Head Examiner, Examiners, Scrutinisers.
Government of West Bengal, School Education Department has published some instructions for ensuing HSE (Higher Secondary Exams) for the year 2014.
To instruct the school authorities to the effect that where both examinations for 9th Class and Higher Secondary will be held other classes will be suspended for the days of examinations. In other cases where only the examination of Class 11 will be held in 2nd half of the school hour, the school authority will decide to suspend the classes for the entire day or for the 2nd half only on the basis of the situation. The schools which have been ordered to spare their teachers for invigilation and other function in other examination centers need not require suspending normal classes.
2. To instruct the school authorities to release the Head Examiner (18 days), Practical Head Examiner (7 days), Examiners (5 days), Scrutinisers (9 days), DAC (17 days), Council Nominees (13 days) on the specified dates as per requisition made by the Council and the period will be treated as ON DUTY.

Subject: RVM (SSA), AP, Hyderabad - Pedagogy Wing - Distribution of Summative-3 Question Papers by the DPO to Mandal Offices - From Mandal Offices to the School point - Revised instructions - Reg
All the project officers of the RVM (SSA) in the state are informed that the APRVM(SSA) is supplying summative 3 question papers of Telugu, English and Urdu mediums to all the schools. In this regard the SPO is providing some additional guidelines regarding sorting of question papers and transportation of question papers from DPO to mandal point.
1.Engage identified CRPs and pay actual bus fare and an honorarium Rs200 per day along with working lunch as per norms.
2.The required material for packing and sealing is permitted as per  the SSA norms
3.Provide transportation to the mandal point as per the norms fixed at DPO
The expenditure incurred for the above work may be met from the intervention "academic support to URCs/BRCs or management cost.
Therefore, the project officers of the RVM (SSA) are requested to make neccassary arrangments for mandal wise packing and transportation from DPOs to mandal

ECI's letter to the chief electoral officers of all states and union territories mentioned the following rates for P.Os and Polling Personals who are going to participate in elections 2014 duties.
1. Sector Officer / Zonal Magistrate 1500/- lump sum
2. Presiding Officer/Counting Supervisor 350/- per day or part thereof
3. Polling Officers/Counting Assistant 250/- per day or part thereof
4. Class-IV 150/- per day or part thereof
5. Packed lunch and/ or light refreshment 150/- per head per day
6. Video Surveillance Team, Video Viewing Team, Accounting Team, Expenditure Monitoring Control Room and Call Center Staffs, Media Certification and Monitoring Committee, Flying Squads, Static Surveillance Team, Expenditure Monitoring Cell:
Class - I/II (Rs. 1200- lump sum)
Class - III (Rs. 1000/- lump sum)
Class - IV (Rs. 200/- per day)

The ECI (Election Commission of India) has extended Polling Time. Polling hours will now be from 7am to 6pm. The extension is made to increase the voting percentage. MPTC/ZPTC Nominations will start from 17th March 2014. Elections will be held for 1096 ZPTC Seats and 16589 MPTC Seats across Andhra Pradesh. ZPTC Nominations will be accepted at the Zilla Parishad Offices and MPTC Nominations will be accepted at the Mandal Parishad Offices. Nomination Forms are available at the respective Zilla Parishad/Mandal Parishad offices. Nominations will be accepted from the eligible candidates from 17th March to 20th March 2014 from 10.30am to 5.00pm. Candidates can withdraw their nomination by 3.00pm on 24th March 2014. List of eligible candidates for MPTC/ZPTC Elections 2014 will be declared on the same day. These elections will be conducted by using ballot boxes. EVMs will not be used for this time.
Nomination Fee: The following fee should be deposited for elections.
ZPTC Nomination Fees: Rs5000 for un-reserved, Rs2500 for SC/ST/BC candidates.

TNPSC has issued VAO Direct Recruitment Notification for 2342 VAO (Village Administrative Officer) Jobs. VAO Online Application Form is available at the official tnpsc website. Candidates need to apply online for this recruitment. VAO written examination will be held on 14th June 2014 from 10am to 1pm.

Candidates aged between 21 years to 30 years as on 01.07.2014 are eligible to apply. However maximum age limit relaxation is applicable to reserved candidates. Selected candidates in the written examination will be appointed in the time scale of Rs5,200 to Rs20,200.

Candidates must have passed SSLC to apply for this recruitment. Selection is based on the performance in the written examination. Application and Examination fee is Rs125. Candidates need to apply online from the official tnpsc website.

Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is a scholarship program funded by the Department of Science and Technology of the Government of India, aimed at encouraging students to take up research careers in the areas of basic sciences, engineering and medicine. It offers scholarship and contingency grants up to the pre-Ph.D. level to selected students. Started in 1999, it is administered by the Indian Institute of Science.

The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is an on-going National Program of Fellowships in Basic Sciences, initiated and funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, to attract exceptionally and highly motivated students for pursuing basic science courses and research career in science.

The objectives of the program are to identify students with talent and aptitude for research; help them realize their potential in their studies; encourage them to take up research careers in Science, and ensure the growth of the best scientific minds for research and development in the country.

The advertisement for the KVPY Fellowship appears in all the national dailies normally on the Technology Day (May 11) and the Second Sunday of July every year.
The selection of students is made from those studying in XI standard to 1st year in any undergraduate Program in Basic Sciences namely B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Math./Int. M.Sc./M.S. in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology having aptitude for scientific research. Special groups / committees are set up at IISc, to screen the applications and conduct an aptitude test at various centers in the country. Based on the performance in the aptitude test, short-listed students are called for an interview which is the final stage of the selection procedure. For receiving a fellowship, both aptitude test and interview marks are considered.

The merit list is based on 75% weightage for Aptitude Test marks and 25% weight age for the interview marks in the streams SA, SB and SX. SA can be written by students studying in class 11. SX can be written by students studying in class 12.
Selection Procedure:
1. Aptitude Test: After scrutiny of application forms and meeting the eligibility criteria for various streams, all eligible students will be called for a written aptitude test conducted both in Hindi and English at different centers across the country on Sunday, the 27th October 2013. The details of the venue of the aptitude test for the eligible students and their seat number will be published in the KVPY website during the first week of October 2013.
2. Interview: Based on the performance in the aptitude test, short-listed students will be asked to appear for an interview which is the final stage of the selection procedure.

O R D E R:
In the reference 1stread above, the Government had introduced a scheme for payment of salaries and all other payments of the employees through Banks, while making the scheme optional to the Employees.
2) In the reference 2nd read above, it was ordered that salaries and other payments of the
employees, who are yet to exercise their option to open their Bank Account, shall be credited to the
Current Account of the Drawing and Disbursing Officer in the Government Bank in the first instance along with the Salaries of those employees who have already opted for the Bank Scheme. In this process, Salaries and other payments of the employees who have exercised their option in favor of opening Bank Account shall be credited to their Bank Accounts and for those employees who have yet to exercise their option shall be paid in cash by the DDO through encashing cheques from the DDOs Account.
3) In the reference 3rd read above, the DTA and PAO were requested to issue instructions to their subordinate officers to ensure that all payments are credited to the Bank Accounts of the employees in the Districts concerned and through Electronic Clearance System (ECS) in respect of the employees of twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad.
4) In the reference 4th read above, the Director of Treasuries & Accounts, A.P., Hyderabad has
requested the Government to issue instructions making mandatory for payment of salaries of all employees duly superseding the instructions issued in the reference 1st read above.
5) In partial modification of the orders issued in the reference 1st to 3rd read above, Government hereby issue the following amendment


6) The Director of Treasuries & Accounts, A.P., Hyderabad and the Pay and Accounts Officer,
Hyderabad and Director of Works Accounts, Hyderabad shall issue necessary instructions to the
Subordinate Officers working under their respective administrative control for strict compliance of
the above amended orders.
7) These orders shall come into force with effect from 01.03.201

ORDER
In the references 5th to 7th read above, the Associations have requested the Government to postpone the recovery of contribution towards Employees Health Scheme from the Salary/Pension of Employees / Pensioners starting from March, 2014 payable on 1st April, 2014, till another date that may be decided after June, 2014 by the two successor States i.e., Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
2. Government after careful examination hereby order that the recovery of contribution towards Employees Health Scheme from the Salary/Pension of Employees/Pensioners shall be stopped until further orders.

Election Commission Letter No.78/2014/EPS, Dated 18th March, 2014

Subject: General Elections to the Lok sabha, 2014 and General Etection to the Legislative Assemblies of Andhra pradesh, odisha, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh and Bye Elections io fill the clear vacancies in Assembly constituencies of various states - Grant of Paid Holiday - Regarding.

Section 13SB of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 which provides for the grant of paid holiday to the employees on the day of poll
Grant of Paid Holiday to Employees on the day of Poll
(i) Every person employed in any business trade, industrial undertaking or any other establishment and entitled to vote at etection to the House of the people or the Legislative Assembly of a State shall, on the day of poll, be granted a holiday.
(ii) No deduction or abatement of the wages of any such person shall be made on account of a holiday having been granted in accordance with sub-section (l) and if such person is employed on the basis that he would not ordinarily receive wages for such a day, he shall nonetheless be paid for such day the wages he would have drawn had not a holiday been granted to him on that day
(iii) lf an employer contravenes the provisions of sub-section (1) or sub-section (2), then such employer shall be punishable with fine, which may extend to five hundred rupees.
(iv) This section shall not apply to any elector whose absence may cause danger or substantial loss in respect of the employment in which he is engaged
The daily wage/casual workers are also entitled for a holiday and wages on poll day as provided in Section 1358 of the R.P. Act, 1951
